Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Repair@mnappliancerepair.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • Is your oven properly calibrated?  From time to time, you will find that your oven just isn’t calibrated correctly. The food is burning at the edges but not the middle.  It could be that you need to recalibrate the oven and make sure that the temperature is set correctly.  It’s not a difficult task, and one you can probably do for yourself.  Consult your owners manual.
  • If your oven is heating up fine and all the other components are working and you're following the cooking instructions correctly then the problem could be with your fan.  A fan assisted oven is designed to better push the heat around your oven cavity, to fix the problem that traditional ovens had.  This helps to prevent your oven from unevenly cooking your food.
  • Another reason your oven is not cooking your food evenly is that your oven may be having trouble maintaining the temperature you set.  This can happen when you have a faulty thermostat as the oven can no longer tell how hot it is getting.  The thermostat tells your oven when it has reached proper temperature, so if it's broken, you may find your oven is changing temperature, either under or overheating your meals.
  • If your food actually doesn't seem to be getting hot at all it may be something wrong with your oven element.  The oven's element is the part of your oven that is responsible for getting your oven hot.

  • Consult your owners manual on this first and foremost.
